ISAIL PIC Session on the draft Data Protection Rules of India [Jan 25, 2025, 2 PM IST]

The Data Privacy Expert Group of the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law is set to host a session to invite legal and non-legal stakeholders to discuss the features and receive feedback pertaining to India's draft Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 on January 25, 2025, 2 PM IST.




Jha Arunima and Sanjana Parisaboina are the Chairperson & Co-Chairperson (respectively) of the Session.

  • The need for recourse for Data Principals to seek compensation in the event of a breach.

  • Implementation challenges of data minimization and data retention periods.

  • The government's power to call for information regarding specific purposes in the 7th Schedule.
